Women in food

Women In Food is an interesting discussion happening in the food industry.

According to Women Food & Ag Network,

women are just 30 percent of agriculture – a number that needs to increase. Unfortunately many women who want to farm experience firsthand that agriculture is still seen as a man’s game.

 

I am grateful to Edible Hawaiian Islands to highlight myself and my company, Voyaging Foods in their Summer issue. This issue is an homage to women who fish, nuture, farm and make art out of food.

While I consider myself another voice in the collective renaissance focused on traditional food in Hawaii, I am inspired by many others nationally in this good food movement.
